Two-day taster workshop:
This is aimed at those who have little or no experienced working with clay but would like a new and interesting project. This course covers the basics of slab and coil building, with the aim of producing a vessel or flatwork.  All tools and materials are provided.  I will also cover the basics of slip casting with all its possibilities; slip decoration, glazes and glaze application.

You will leave the workshop with your work, ideas, written information and a good working knowledge of things clay. The rest is up to you.

If using the potter’s wheel excites you, I can also demonstrate that method and discuss classes to bring you up to speed.

Masterclasses:
Five and eight day masterclasses: The schedule for the course will depend on requirements, I shall endeavour to place like minded groups together.  Both five and eight day classes have a class size of maximum 6, this allows me ample opportunity for one-to-one coaching. The eight-day class allows us to explore and hone the preferred method of working it also allows time for a visiting artist to spend a day discussing their approach to ceramics. Plus, a day in St Ives with a visit to the renown Leach Pottery and The Tate St Ives.

This is a non-residential course, but for those interested, I can supply details of accommodation from camping and B&B to motels and spa hotels.

Evening and day classes:
Aimed at those with limited time, these weekly 2 hour sessions allow sufficient time to start and complete a project within10/11 weeks.

Class size is limited to 6 therefore one to one Instruction is readily available

Parties and Birthday celebrations for both adults and children:
